How We Review

Last Updated: Nov, 2021

Welcome to beautyhub.cfd. I’m the writer and editor behind this site. My goal is simple: publish women’s health reviews that are clear, fair, and genuinely helpful—without hype.

This page explains how I choose products, how I evaluate them, and how affiliate links fit into the picture.

1) Editorial independence

I choose what to cover. Brands can’t buy a positive review, influence my conclusions, or approve content before publication.

Sometimes I may receive a product sample, free access to an app, or a media kit for evaluation. When that happens, I still share my honest opinion and I disclose relevant relationships in the post.

2) What I review (and what I don’t)

What you’ll typically see on beautyhub.cfd:

  • Supplements and wellness products (e.g., probiotics, prenatals, magnesium)
  • Apps and trackers (e.g., cycle tracking, sleep tools)
  • At-home tests and devices (where appropriate)
  • Books and educational resources

What I don’t do:

  • I don’t diagnose conditions or provide medical treatment.
  • I don’t claim any product can “cure” a condition.
  • I don’t replace professional medical advice.

If you’re dealing with symptoms, pregnancy concerns, medication questions, or anything urgent, please talk with a licensed healthcare professional.

3) How I evaluate products

My review checklist varies by category, but I generally focus on four things: transparency, safety basics, real-world usability, and overall value.

Supplements

  • Label clarity: full ingredient list, clear serving size, realistic dosing
  • Quality signals: manufacturing standards, third-party testing claims (if any), lot/batch information
  • Safety basics: warnings, allergens, interactions mentioned by the brand
  • Cost/value: price per serving, subscription terms, return policy

Apps & trackers

  • Useful features: what actually helps vs. what’s just marketing
  • Privacy basics: what data is collected and how it’s used (based on what the provider discloses)
  • Usability: setup, daily experience, accessibility
  • Pricing transparency: trials, renewals, cancellation steps

Devices & at-home tests

  • Intended use: who it’s for and what it’s designed to do
  • Ease of use: instructions, comfort, learning curve
  • Support: warranty, returns, customer service
  • Value: how it compares to alternatives at similar price points

4) Hands-on testing (when possible)

When I can, I test products hands-on (using the app, trying the device, or evaluating the overall experience). For supplements, “testing” typically means a detailed label/brand assessment and user experience checks (shipping, packaging, transparency, return policies).

I’m not a laboratory and I do not perform independent chemical testing. If I haven’t personally used a product, I’ll say so.

5) Research and sources

Women’s health is full of bold claims. When I discuss ingredients or wellness topics, I try to anchor content in reputable references and evidence-informed guidance. If evidence is limited or mixed, I’ll say that too.

6) Ratings and recommendations

If I use a rating or “Top Picks” list, it reflects the criteria above—not brand popularity. Some products may be fine but not the best fit for most people. In those cases, I’ll explain who it may work for and who should skip it.

7) Updates and corrections

Products change—formulas, pricing, availability, and policies can shift. I periodically review and update posts. If you spot something inaccurate or outdated, please let me know via the contact page.

8) How this site is funded

Some links on beautyhub.cfd are affiliate links, which means I may earn a commission if you make a purchase—at no extra cost to you. This helps support hosting, tools, research time, and ongoing updates.
